as a kid my family used to own a big comercial farm in italy , a farm with almost every pet that you can find in a farm chickens goat cows horses duck rabbits you name it , for me it was a like zoo , one of the main reason to get good degrees just to spend the summer there as a reward.
never forget the happy times and some of the beautiful core memories that i made there, now as i got older what push me to work harder is almost the same what push me as a kid is to build a farm like this for my kids well for me as well im not gonna lie just to help me get through some through tough times , the smell of flowers menth sound of water chickens sheep its more than enough to demolish daily strees at least for me.
one of my favorite animals was chickens especially whenever they are eating they were mesy loud and funny, i was the responsible of giving them food so i learned that i need to make sure to only give them safe food , some vegetables is good for their performance and so many plant part can be toxic like some vegetables and fruit leaves stalks vines greens stems sprouting …etc e specially when you cant fully control what they eat in farm this big some times you find them trying to eat some unripe tomatoes onion which are toxic.
on the other side i noticed that some vegetables improved their overall health weight productivity
one of the most nutritous vegetables that you can give to your chickens is some fresh broccoli as they have almost every nutrient that hens need some times they can’t benefit from feed especially if not stored well and that was one of many lesson that i learned.
